Yesterday, Thursday October 17, the Professional Order of Chartered Accountants organized a demonstration in front of the Directorate of Public Establishments and Privatization.
This protest, according to a press release received by the Heba Press site, is part of the continuation of the program of struggle developed by the association against the silence of civil servants, and to draw attention to the cases resulting from the application of the Law 53.19, supplementing Law 127.12 regulating the profession of chartered accountants and the creation of the Professional Organization of Chartered Accountants.
The press release underlines that accreditation is a legitimate right for all accountants registered for professional tax, and this concerns many professionals who still escape the regulations issued by the Ministerial Committee, relating to the list of approved accountants.
The press release explains that a category of accounting professionals registered in the commercial register and professional tax has been excluded from any classification, noting that this category includes accountants who legally practice the profession, for periods of between three (3) and thirty (30) years.
According to the same statement, professional accountants have advanced university degrees and extensive experience in the field, and the association has warned that their offices are now threatened with closure, with disastrous consequences for them, their families and their employees.
The press release underlines the need to integrate all accountants registered for professional tax into the Professional Organization of Chartered Accountants.
