Customs at the port of Tangier Med: A new work organization to operate 24/7

The Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxes (ADII) announced on Tuesday the establishment, as of next Monday, April 15, of a new work organization aimed at ensuring continuous operation (24 hours) of customs services at port of Tangier Med.
This measure, taken in consultation with the port authorities and the private sector, is fully in line with the business support policy carried out by Customs, the ADII said in a press release, adding that from now on and from from the date indicated above, customs clearance operations will be taken care of in their entirety at Tanger Med, at any time of the day and 7 days a week.
This measure aims to strengthen the fluidity of goods clearance operations and further reduce customs clearance times in order to support the competitiveness of exporting companies and help improve the productivity of operators operating in international transport, explains the same source.
In order to succeed in this action initiated in favor of businesses, Customs has taken all the necessary measures in terms of strengthening and mobilizing its workforce within the said port and adapting the organization of work in order to meet the requirements of the new operating mode. On this occasion, the ADII calls on economic operators to organize themselves accordingly, so that the efforts made by all bear fruit.
