A deputy spokesperson for the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday that France and Morocco are making progress in implementing the “ambitious” joint roadmap.

During a press conference, the spokesperson for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the discussions between the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné, and his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, who had held Tuesday in Paris, “have made it possible to make further progress in the implementation of the political agenda and the ambitious common roadmap that we share with Morocco”.

He added that this roadmap “concerns major investments for the future as well as security aspects, cultural exchanges and even global issues”.

After his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, the head of French diplomacy wrote on his account on the “X” platform that “the relationship between France and Morocco is one of a kind.”

Séjourné visited Morocco at the end of February, as part of the affirmed desire of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron to consolidate the bilateral strategic partnership on solid foundations, taking advantage of the achievements recorded within the framework. of this partnership over the decades.
