Breaking France-Morocco friendly meeting: An exceptional event on D-100 of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

At the invitation of the French Institute of Morocco, the Royal Moroccan Federation of Aerobic Sports, Fitness Hip Hop and Assimilated Disciplines and the French Dance Federation celebrate the France-Morocco sporting friendship around a Breaking meeting which will take place exceptional ad with 12 B-girls and B-boys.
100 days before the opening of the JOP Paris 2024 which includes for the first time in history the discipline of Breaking, a French team of Breakers will meet a Moroccan team during friendly battles between B-Girls and B-Boys among which several qualified for the Olympics
Open to all and free, this meeting which will be held at the Mohammed V Theater on April 17 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., will consist of a qualification phase (exhibitions), artistic sequences, a final phase and a ceremony. medal ceremony to offer the public an unforgettable show.
While the French and Moroccan Federations, which recently signed a cooperation agreement, maintain close links serving the structuring and development of the discipline, this battle of friendship will celebrate the dynamism of sporting exchanges and the quality, internationally recognized, Moroccan and French athletes.
Faithful to the values of Olympicism, they will be brought together to experience intense moments of exchanges and joint training for three days.
On the Moroccan side, Fatima Zahra Elmamouny aka B-Girl Elmamouny and Bilal Mellakh aka B-boy Billy, both qualified for the JOP 2024 during the African Championships will be there with the B-girls Alma, B-Fly, and the B -boys Ofazzy and Cri6. These athletes are obviously all affiliated with the Royal Moroccan Federation of Aerobic Sports, Fitness Hip Hop and Similar Disciplines, whose Founding President, Ms. Selma Bennani is a member of the executive committee of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee.
On the French side, under the leadership of the President of the French Dance Federation, Mr. Charles Ferreira, also a member of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee, and the national breaking coordinator Abdel Mustapha, a fine French delegation will travel to Morocco with the BGirls Mia Savic, Kenza Vela Lopez and Juliette Pena-Lozano, as well as the BBoys Mateo Latorre, Ramy Aggoun and Enzo De Giovanni, without forgetting the essentials for a successful battle, the DJ and the MC (master of ceremonies), who will make the beat the hearts of all Breaking and sports fans. Breaking, a dance style developed in the United States in the 1970s, maintains a close relationship with the world of entertainment. Born in the atmosphere of neighborhood parties in the Bronx and stemming from Hip-Hop culture, Breaking is a spectacular sport characterized by its ground figures, acrobatics and catchy music. The shows, hosted by DJs and MCs (masters of ceremonies), are the scene of atmospheres, each more fiery than the last.
Since the 90s, Breaking has experienced international growth through the organization of Battles around the world, helping to popularize the discipline among the public! The great success of the discipline during the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games in 2018 led to its inclusion as an additional sport at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The two events, battle B-girls and battle Bboys, will take place on the place de la Concorde on August 9 and 10, 2024, promising a breathtaking show in an exceptional setting. This fascinating history of the discipline and its evolution towards the Olympic rings will be the subject of a public conference on April 16 at 6 p.m., at Café La Scène, in partnership with the Hiba Foundation.

Note that a press conference will be organized the same day at 5 p.m. in the Café to preview the Moroccan Olympic Anthem of Breaking. Composed and adapted by the H-Kayne Group and DJ Key, this piece reflects the creativity of the Moroccan Hip-Hop scene and engraved in stone the integration of Breaking into the XXXIII Olympiad.
