Alexander De Croo: Belgium is committed to strengthening the partnership between Morocco and the European Union.

Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said today Monday that Belgium is committed to contributing to strengthening the partnership between Morocco and the European Union at all levels.
During a joint press conference with the Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch, following the third meeting of the Morocco-Belgium Joint Partnership Committee, the Belgian Prime Minister affirmed that “the Kingdom of Morocco is an important strategic partner for the European Union.
De Croo, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, stressed that this meeting was an opportunity to reaffirm “our commitment to contribute to the strengthening of this partnership at all levels”.
In this regard, he praised the “good, old and deep” relations between the two kingdoms, expressing his country’s desire to further develop and strengthen this strategic partnership.
Furthermore, De Croo welcomed the “potentials and ambitions” of Morocco, particularly in the field of green hydrogen, referring to the letter of intent signed between the two countries on the occasion of this meeting, concerning the field green energy.
The Belgian Prime Minister declared: “We want to develop our economic partnership further, and the Moroccan investment agreement as well as the Moroccan offer in terms of green hydrogen offer important investment opportunities for our companies Belgians”.
Regarding the letter of intent on the modernization of the judicial administration, signed today Monday, De Croo stressed that cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries “will help us to fight crime more effectively organized”.
