Heba Press – Guelmim
Construction work on the “Oued Asfaw” dam, in the commune of Teklit, in the Guelmim province, with a storage capacity of 7.2 million cubic meters, has begun, as part of the national water supply program. drinking and irrigation water for the period 2020-2027.
This dam, which is one of the small dams, was built at a cost of around 29 million dirhams, as part of a partnership between the Guelmim-Oued Noun region and the ministries of the Interior, Equipment and Water.
The project aims to address the effects of flooding in the region, as it will contribute to groundwater recharge and improvement of water resources, in addition to providing water for livestock and contributing to economic development and social of the region.
