ONCA participation in the 16th edition of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco in Meknes

The 16th edition of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco, organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohamed VI, may God assist him, from April 22 to 28, 2024 in the Ismaili capital “Meknes” was inaugurated today by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El-Hassan.
An edition of rising ambitions, which will highlight a crucial theme “Climate and Agriculture: For sustainable and resilient production systems”. This orientation is not trivial, it is part of a global context marked by an unprecedented climate crisis.

The participation this year of Spain as guest country of honor in this edition takes on a very special character because it confirms the distinguished level of cooperation relations uniting the two neighboring countries in different fields, confirming the positioning of the European leader in sector as the Kingdom’s first partner and reflects the excellence of the relations of friendship and cooperation between Rabat and Madrid.
As usual, the National Agricultural Council Office is taking part in this international event dedicated to agriculture and stakeholders in the agricultural sector, in its 16th edition through the establishment of its own agricultural advice space comprising four thematic windows specific to advice, thus its presence in the institutional pavilion of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests (MAPMDREF), reflects its fundamental role of supporting the Ministry in the implementation work of its major projects.

Agricultural advice area

ONCA’s contribution is part of its missions of supervision and support for farmers and the promotion of sustainable agriculture in all its links. This contribution will be made concrete through the establishment of a space made up of thematic windows dedicated to agricultural advice for the benefit of farmers visiting SIAM 2024. These thematic windows will concern four links of agricultural advice, namely: irrigation advice; resilience and eco-efficiency (Direct Seeding), the role of agricultural advice in the application of GG, and Digi-consulting.

ONCA will mobilize throughout the SIAM period two specialized agricultural advisors per thematic window to explain to visitors the role of the Office in modernizing agricultural advisory tools by intervention themes to professionalize agriculture by broadening the field of action through the repositioning of ONCA on the management and governance of the plural agricultural advisory system.
In each of the 4 thematic windows, ONCA will present a multitude of communication supports, namely agricultural advice spots, motion design videos on different subjects, Dalil Al Fallah brochures, in addition to ONCA’s various digital supports.

Interactive agricultural advice at the heart of SIAM

Like the previous edition, the ARDNA interactive platform will be presented during the 16th edition of the Show as well as ONCA’s innovative digital project, notably the virtual version of the FFS, which is part of the new generation support mechanisms for the Generation Green strategy.
On the sidelines of SIAM 2024, ONCA will make available to its visitors 06 virtual FFS concerning the following themes: localized irrigation; Olivier ; citrus; fattening of sheep; milk ; date palm.

Thematic spaces of the Ministry pavilion

ONCA will also be present in three areas of the MAPMDREF pavilion, namely:
• The agricultural entrepreneurship space
In this space, ONCA will provide the Ministry pavilion with two advisors specializing in agricultural entrepreneurship to provide the necessary support to young people and visitors to the thematic space. ONCA will organize workshops on entrepreneurship which will be led by its agricultural advisors who will provide the necessary explanations relating to the methodology followed to support young entrepreneurs from the rural world ranging from communication and awareness raising around entrepreneurship, to to post-creation support and the sustainability of projects.

Also, the Office will present in this space the digital agricultural advice supports (Spots, motion design videos, panels and dalil Al fallah brochure) recently produced to communicate more about the Office’s achievements in terms of agricultural entrepreneurship.

• Agricultural middle class area – social security

In this space reserved at the level of the Ministry pavilion, ONCA agricultural advisors will work with CNSS agents to facilitate and answer visitors’ questions, the advisors will also present agricultural advisory materials to communicate more about the achievements of the Office in terms of support actions put in place by ONCA to raise awareness and generalize social coverage for the benefit of farmers and their families.

• National Agricultural Register (RNA)

for this space, the ONCA will provide the Ministry pavilion with two agricultural advisors accompanied by CNSS agents to provide the necessary information and explanations to visitors about this large-scale national project, its overall and specific objectives. and its role in the development of the national agricultural strategy.
It should be noted that the effectiveness of the national social protection system for the benefit of farmers depends on the deployment of a credible and up-to-date database. To this end, the National Agricultural Register (RNA) aims to be an essential tool for agricultural policy offering a digital database of farmers and their geo-referenced farms with a unique identifier.

Farmers’ Journey.

The first day of the show saw the visit of more than 650 farmers from the province of Meknes. Faithful to its mission of supporting farmers and other stakeholders, the ONCA organizes, like previous editions, throughout the show supervised trips for the benefit of 20,000 small and medium-sized farmers accompanied by agricultural advisors from of the 12 regions of the Kingdom.

More than 230 trips will be supervised by 460 advisors who will ensure the smooth running of these services for farmers benefiting from the study trip program undertaken in conjunction with SIAM 2024.

The National Office of the Agricultural Council, a major national player in the Agricultural Council, wants to make its participation in siam 2024 an opportunity for the implementation of the green generation strategy through planned activities and actions.
