Rabat: Tomorrow, presentation of the Chinese translation of “Between development and culture” by the dean of Moroccan literature, Dr Abbas El Jirari

Tomorrow Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 3:30 p.m., at the Confucius Institute, located at Rue Allal El Fassi, Cité Irfane, Rabat, the Confucius Institute of Mohammed V University in Rabat will present the Chinese translation of the book “Between development and culture” by the dean of Moroccan literature, Dr Abbas El Jirari

The ceremony, organized as part of cultural opening and the consolidation of academic relations between Morocco and China, will take place in the presence of Professor Farid El Bacha President of the Mohammed V University in Rabat, Mr. Li Changlin Ambassador of the Republic of China to Morocco, and Directors of the Confucius Institute in Rabat Professors: Karima El Yatribi and Ms. Li Ning, in the presence of diplomatic corps, academics, media, students and others important personalities.

Professor Abbas El Jirari is a Moroccan academic, historian, critic, writer, thinker, academician and advisor to HM King Mohammed VI. He enriched the Moroccan and Arab library with dozens of works on Islamic thought and questions of culture and heritage, and was interested in popular culture, Amazighity and questions from the margins, with more than four -twenty printed books. He was born in 1937 and died in 2024 in Rabat.
