Moroccan-Turkish talks on strengthening the strategic partnership in the energy sector

The President of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE), Abdellatif Bardach, spoke on Wednesday in Rabat with a delegation of Turkish businessmen about ways to strengthen fruitful collaboration and strategic partnership between Morocco and Turkey in the energy sector.
This meeting was an opportunity to consolidate the foundations of an already fruitful bilateral collaboration and to chart the path for significant progress in the energy field and sustainable development between the two countries, indicates an ANRE press release.
During this meeting, the Turkish delegation led by the Turkish Ambassador to Morocco, Mustafa Ilker Kiliç, underlined the crucial importance of electricity and its profound impact on various economic sectors, particularly on decarbonization initiatives, green hydrogen and desalination projects, which are at the heart of the energy strategy of both countries.
For his part, Mr. Bardach explained the essential role of the Authority in supporting the national energy strategy, initiated under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, working to implement places a robust regulatory framework and creates an attractive environment for investors, notes the same source.
By anticipating the regulation of emerging technologies in the sector, ANRE aims to establish a climate of confidence for investors and to position Morocco as a leader in the global energy transition, it is concluded.
