Brilliant start of the 8th edition of the Moulay El Hassan International Para Athletics Meeting

The 8th edition of the Moulay El Hassan International Para Athletics Meeting really started yesterday Friday with flying colors in an electric atmosphere in the effective presence of the president of the International Paralympic Federation Mr. Andrew Parsons, the president of the FRMSPSH, Mr. Akkari, the representative of the Wali and other civil and military personalities
A brief, very meaningful opening word was delivered by Mr. Andrew where he demonstrated his joy at finding himself for the first time in Marrakech after having been to Rabat twice, then thanked the organizers of the Meeting at their head Mr. El Aouni Hamid, noting that this Meeting is high-end with a record participation of competing countries, before kicking off the competitions
For his part, Mr. Akkari focused on the effect of this Meeting and its repercussions on the brand image of Morocco while paying tribute to HM King Mohammed VI whose Meeting and under his High Patronage, without however forget to thank all those who gave a boost to this high competition including the Wali first
Finally, Mr. Hamid El Aouni, President of the FRMSPSH, took the floor to highlight the importance of this Meeting and the High Concern of HM King Mohammed VI, while acknowledging the presence and granting a welcome to all the delegations present, knowing that Morocco has always been able to meet major challenges in the right conditions and in the best possible
Then, the competitions were opened with various races which aroused the enthusiasm of everyone present, including among others the president of the FIP, who followed some stages with great interest and even went to decorate some winning athletes.
Let us recall, in the meantime, that Mr. Andrew and Mr. El Aouni proceeded with the ceremony of awarding decorations in honor of some brilliant figures, especially Arabs including the president of the Arab Paralympic Federation
The competitions will continue for today or they will end in the evening where records are certainly expected
Still, the Meeting is going well with the best in the world
