African Games in Accra/Karate: Morocco wins 10 medals including 2 gold

Morocco won, on Saturday, 10 medals at the end of the third and final day of the karate events on the occasion of the 13th African Games in Accra (March 8-23), including two in gold, 4 in silver and 4 in bronze. .

The karate events took place from March 7 to 9 in Accra.

Thus, Aya En-Nesyry won gold in individual kata, while her compatriot Fatima-Zahra Chajai captured the same metal in kumite (combat) in the – 68 kg category.

The 4 silver medals were won by Adam Rchouq (kata), Said Oubaya (combat/ – 67 kg), the women’s national kata team and Maroua Eddarhri (combat/ + 68 kg).

Abdel Ali Jina (combat/ – 60 kg), Mehdi Sriti (combat/ – 84 kg), Chaimae El Hayti (combat/ – 55 kg) and the women’s national team (combat) won bronze.

Morocco comes third in the discipline rankings, while Egypt leads the pack with 15 medals including 10 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.
