Morocco-Jibouti: signing of two memorandums of understanding in the areas of health and social protection

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Prof. Khalid Ait Taleb chaired in the company of the Minister of Labor responsible for the Formalization of Social Protection of Djibouti, Mr. Omar Abdi Saïd, on April 26, 2024 in Rabat, and in presence of the Director of the University Hospital Center of Rabat and the Director of the National Social Security Fund of Djibouti, the signing ceremony of two memoranda of understanding between the Kingdom of Morocco and Djibouti in the areas of health and protection social.

The first agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and Djibouti in the field of social protection, while the second establishes a framework of cooperation and partnership between the University Hospital Center of Rabat and the National Social Security Fund of Djibouti, aimed at strengthening the capacities of health professionals from both countries in three main areas, namely the medical and pharmaceutical field, the nursing field, and the administrative and financial field.

The signing of these two memorandums is part of the strengthening of means of cooperation between Morocco and Djibouti in the areas of health and social protection, as well as within the framework of the new dynamic of relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Djibouti in various fields.

Furthermore, these agreements also aim to promote the exchange of experiences, studies and relevant information in the field of health and social protection due to their essential role in achieving progress and stability. social. Likewise, they facilitate visits between officials and experts from the two countries, while providing practical training opportunities for Ministry officials and health professionals. This helps develop their professional skills and raise their awareness of the latest developments in the field of social protection, with the aim of improving the health and medical care conditions of Djibouti citizens and facilitating their access to health services.
