Bourita receives his Gambian counterpart, carrying a letter to the king

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, received today, Monday in Rabat, his Gambian counterpart, Mamadou Tangara, carrying a letter addressed to His Majesty the King Mohammed VI by the President of the Republic of Gambia, Adama Barrow.

At the end of this meeting, Mr. Tangara highlighted in a statement to the press the exceptional relations between Morocco and the Gambia, welcoming the concrete support provided by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, for the success of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit scheduled for May 4 and 5 in Gambia.

The Gambian minister also reaffirmed, on this occasion, the determination of his country to work together with Morocco to achieve the objectives aimed at a prosperous, united and stable Africa, underlining the importance of the Royal initiative for the Atlantic , which constitutes “a guarantee of stability and prosperity”.

Furthermore, the head of Gambian diplomacy took this opportunity to renew his country’s support for the territorial integrity of Morocco and the sovereignty of the Kingdom over all of its territories, including the Moroccan Sahara.’
