Training and scientific research: Morocco and the United States strengthen their cooperation

The International University of Rabat (UIR) and Mississippi State University (MSU) signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday in Washington, during a ceremony chaired by the Moroccan ambassador to the United States. , Youssef Amrani.

Signed by the President of the UIR, Noureddine Mouaddib and the President of the MSU, Mark Keenum, this agreement aims to strengthen the exchange and fruitful cooperation between the two universities in the different areas of scientific research.

In his speech on this occasion, Mr. Amrani stressed that the signing of this memorandum of understanding is the fruit of a solid partnership between two distinguished academic institutions and represents the prelude to a new stage in the strengthening of their relations. cooperation.

He stressed that this promising partnership was translated into reality thanks to the far-sighted and insightful vision of King Mohammed VI in the field of education.

For Mr. Amrani, this agreement is also intended to be a model for many Moroccan universities in the quest for academic excellence and openness to the world.

The ambassador also highlighted the long-standing strategic alliance uniting Morocco and the United States, affirming that the two friendly countries are driven by the desire to strengthen their partnership in various areas.

Among these areas, Mr. Amrani cited the transfer of technologies in the service of socio-economic development and the promotion of human links, which remain essential to the establishment of lasting bridges of cultural exchanges in the Atlantic region.

For his part, the president of the UIR noted that the memorandum of understanding should strengthen the strategic partnership between the two universities, adding that it will also expand the scope of the framework agreement signed between the two establishments in 2011 .

For his part, the president of the USU, who is also honorary consul of Morocco, stressed that the signing of this agreement is part of the strong partnership and friendship that binds Morocco and the United States in various fields, highlighting the importance of expanding the opportunities offered to the two universities in order to train young people in various fields and to strengthen scientific and academic research.
