Spanish coach Juan Carlos Garrido chose the Moroccan channel Medi 1 TV to announce his resignation from the management of the Algerian club.

This decision comes after the defeat of USM Alger against the Moroccan team of Renaissance de Berkane, thus formalizing the qualification of the latter for the final of the African Confederation Cup, following the cancellation of the round-trip matches between the two teams due to the Moroccan club wearing a jersey displaying the full map of the kingdom.
