Al-Abadi said in his written question the following: “Our country has made great efforts in the field of electrification of rural areas, which was launched in 1996 as one of the national programs for which important Financial funds were allocated, which helped connect thousands of roundabouts and benches to the national electricity grid in various areas. This program was able, thanks to the accumulated efforts, to achieve a significant percentage of electricity coverage, which exceeded 99 percent, according to official reports. The horizon for its generalization is 100%.
But despite these undeniable efforts, many circles still remain deprived of electricity connection, which is considered one of the reasons for their isolation and marginalization.
We present to you, Madam Minister, adds the parliamentarian, by way of example, in the villages of Izlafen and Taourirt in the territorial collectivity of Maghraoua in the province of Taza, whose inhabitants are still waiting for their homes to be connected to electricity, despite the availability of all connection conditions and standards.
