The 118th edition of the annual convention of the Association of Food Industry (AFI) will be held on May 3 and 4 in Marrakech with the participation of numerous Moroccan and American speakers, who will offer an in-depth analysis of the strategic and operational issues of the food sector. the food industry.

This economic event will allow American professionals to explore the Kingdom’s key agricultural, marine fishing, citrus and olive oil sectors.

Likewise, this meeting, which is being held for the first time in Morocco, will offer an unprecedented immersion into the Moroccan food industry.

Holding the 118th edition in Morocco demonstrates the commitment to foster transatlantic cooperation, promote and support Moroccan agri-food and fishing products on the American market, while establishing strategic partnerships, in an environment conducive to innovation and growth.

The AFI annual convention will make it possible to initiate B2B meetings between Moroccan and American exporters, and to develop exchanges with importers, buyers and international experts.

With this in mind, masterclasses are being held ahead of the convention, on April 29 and 30 in Casablanca. Led by AFI President Bob Bauer, these masterclasses focus on the Food and Drug Administration’s Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FDA), a key regulation under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Act. Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

In Marrakech, the AFI Annual Convention will focus on the challenges and future prospects of the food industry, with the participation of numerous Moroccan and American speakers, who will offer an in-depth analysis of the strategic and operational issues of the sector.

Presentations will include presentations on the agricultural and citrus sector in Morocco, as well as import and export best practices regulated by the FDA.
