Fouzi Lekjaa’s media outing arouses the admiration of Egyptians… and tweeters say: “summit of politeness and ethics

The media and social networks in Egypt were quick to react to the media intervention by the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, last night, Friday.

Lekjaa, invited on the set of Egyptian host Mohamed Al-Leithy, in a special program broadcast on the “ON Time Sports” channels and the “ON Time FM” radio, addressed several subjects, including rumors about his influence in the appointments of referees for matches and its relationship with the Egyptian Football Union and the Al-Ahly club.

With elegance in his response and a refined style of dialogue, Lekjaa denied the rumors circulating about his involvement in the appointments of referees for the matches, adding: “If I had the power to appoint the referees, Morocco would have won the one of the continental titles”.

Lekjaa also highlighted the strong relationship between Morocco and Egypt, as well as the union between the Moroccan Federation and its Egyptian counterpart, saying: “We maintain fraternal and friendly ties with our Egyptian brothers, and in 2019, I “I was the first to propose to Hany Abu Rida to organize the African Cup and to express Morocco’s total support to him.”

The Moroccan football manager also spoke of the good relationship he maintains with the Al-Ahly club, which he described as the strongest in Africa, expressing his total support for the latter and its president.

Lekjaa’s exit aroused the admiration of Egyptians and dispelled all the rumors and false information that opposing media have sought to spread in recent years.

Egyptians expressed their admiration for the strong personality of Fouzi Lekjaa, praising his ethics and his good manners in dialogue and answers to questions.

Egyptian netizens shared video clips of Lekjaa’s interview under the hashtag “Lekjaa loved by Egyptians”, considering him the right man in the right place.
