Launch of 14 primary health care establishments in the Fez – Meknes region

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Prof. Khalid Ait Taleb, gave on May 3, 2024, at the Center for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Respiratory Diseases Sidi Said in Meknes, accompanied by the Governor of the prefecture of Meknes, Mr. Abdelghani Sabbar and in the presence of elected officials and representatives of civil society, the launch of the services of 14 urban and rural primary health care establishments.
The deployment of the services of these health establishments is part of the policy of rehabilitation and renovation of public health establishments, in accordance with the Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, calling for substantial reform of the national health system with a view to promoting the implementation of the generalization of health coverage and social protection.
This launch concerns the prefecture of Meknes with 05 first-level urban health centers “Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Respiratory Diseases Sidi Said”, “Beni Mhammed”, “Al Basatine”, “Sbata” and “Sidi Amer”, 05 first level rural health centers “Zoualt”, “Ait Aissa Addi”, “Bni Meraaz”, “Ouad Jdida” and “Sidi Slimane”, in addition to 04 rural dispensaries “Bouassal”, “ain Agoual”, “Bridia” and “Ouled Slim”.
These health establishments, which are part of the new generation of primary health care establishments, will provide a varied range of health services and a range of treatments including general medical consultations, nursing care, as well as follow-up chronic diseases, including tuberculosis, respiratory diseases, diabetes and high blood pressure, in addition to maternal and child health monitoring, school health, as well as awareness and awareness services. health education.
Note that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has mobilized qualified human resources who will ensure the provision of medical and curative services to the population. In addition, the Ministry has equipped these health centers with modern equipment and high-quality biomedical devices.
