The US Congress is studying the possibility of selling drones to Morocco

International reports have revealed negotiations between Morocco and the United States for the purchase of advanced “Sea Guardian” drones.

The same reports indicate that members of the US Congress plan to discuss the issue in the coming days, after the US State Department authorized the sale of four units to Morocco. The “MQ-9B Sea Guardian” drones, produced by the American company “General Atomics”, have a range of about 11,000 kilometers, can be controlled from ground stations and fly for 40 hours at altitudes up to 50 000 feet. They can be armed with smart bombs and missiles, as well as surveillance and reconnaissance equipment.
