The Popular Movement parliamentary group in the House of Representatives calls for the inclusion of “Tifinagh” in identity cards

The Popular Movement parliamentary group in the House of Representatives called for the Amazigh language to be included in national identity cards, activating its constitutional character as an official language alongside the Arabic language for the Kingdom.

The Popular Movement parliamentary group in the House of Representatives requested to include “Tifinagh” in national identity cards through a proposed organic law aimed at supplementing articles 4 and 5 of Law No. 04.20 relating to the national electronic identity card.

The parliamentary group of the Popular Movement added that organic law No. 26.16 concerning the determination of the stages of activation of the official character of Amazigh set a maximum period of ten years to implement this provision from its publication. in the Official Journal.
