The Mohammed V University of Rabat is participating in the 29th edition of the International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEB) with a distinctive stand presenting its most prominent academic and scientific publications under the theme “Mohammed V University: a space for all knowledge”, which will be held from May 10 to 19, 2024 in Rabat.
The participation of Mohammed V University in this edition is accompanied by a rich and varied cultural program, including various cultural and scientific activities activated by different establishments affiliated with the university, which are part of the knowledge centers , as well as cultural and scientific activities aimed at facilitating integration targeting imprisoned students, organized on Wednesday May 15 at (1 p.m.-11 a.m.), and students with special needs, organized at (2 p.m.-4 p.m.) the same day.
As this year’s guest of honor, the gallery of Mohammed V University will welcome, on Saturday May 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Professor Mohamed Noureddine Afaya, intellectual and specialist in higher education. The Academy of Arts of the Academy of the Kingdom will participate in an intervention on the theme “The University and the question of elites”.
This intervention will be followed by the tribute paid to Hafiza Madrasi, Professor at the Mohammed V University and Director of the Reception, Information, Orientation and Monitoring Center of the University, in recognition of her pioneering contributions to service of the University and its students, in the presence of the Acting President of the Mohammed V University in Rabat, Professor Farid Bacha, the Vice-Presidents, Deans and Directors of the University’s institutions, several personalities and visitors to the University gallery.
The University program also includes round tables, seminars, conferences, competitions and various presentations, which are organized by the University institutions within the framework of the following different knowledge centers:
Scientific and technological center: Friday May 10, with the Faculty of Sciences and the Higher School of Technology.
Scientific research institutes: Saturday May 11, the Institute of Studies and Research on Arabization, the University Institute of African, Euro-Mediterranean and Ibero-American Studies and the Scientific Institute.
Center for legal, economic and social sciences: Sunday, May 12, the three faculties of legal, economic and social sciences (Akdal, Souissi and Salé).
Engineering center: Monday, May 13, the Mohammedia Engineering School, the Higher School of Computer Science and Systems Analysis, and the National Higher School of Arts and Crafts. Medicine and Pharmacy, and the School of Dental Medicine.
Activities related to language learning: Confucius Institute for Chinese Learning: Tuesday, May 14, and University Language Center, Wednesday, May 15.
Educational Sciences Center: Thursday May 16 with the Higher School of Teachers, the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Erasmus Office in Morocco.
Arts and Letters Center: Friday May 17, with the Faculty of Arts and Letters.
On this occasion, the Mohammed V University of Rabat invites all of its components, professors, administrators, technicians and students, to attend the Rabat International Book Fair and to participate in the various cultural activities organized at the University Pavilion .
