Aeronautics: Growth of exports in the sector

Exports from the aeronautics sector reached more than 1.89 billion dirhams (MMDH) during the month of January 2024, an improvement of 23% compared to the same month of the past year, according to the Foreign Exchange Office.

This development is explained by the increase in sales of the Assembly segment of 35.2% to 1.23 billion dirhams and of the EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) segment of 5.3%. at 646 million dirhams (MDH), indicates the Foreign Exchange Office in its recent bulletin on monthly indicators of foreign trade.

This bulletin also reports an increase in exports of phosphates and derivatives of 17.5% to 6.2 billion dirhams, following the increase in sales of natural and chemical fertilizers (+732 million dirhams) and phosphoric acid (+ 233 MDH).

As for exports from the automotive sector, they showed growth of 8.3% to 10.84 billion dirhams, thanks to the increase in sales of the construction segment (+353 million dirhams), the cabling segment (+221 MDH) and the vehicle and seat interior segment (+134 MDH).

On the other hand, the agriculture and agri-food sector saw its exports decrease by 1.2% to 8.43 billion dirhams, mainly due to the decline in the food industry segments (-3.4%) and agriculture, forestry and hunting ( -0.6%).
