Qualification phase of the Atlas Lions for the 2026 World Cup: Zambia prefers Europe to face Morocco

The qualification phase of the Atlas Lions for the 2026 World Cup will see Walid Regragui’s protégés face Zambia on Friday June 7, 2024 at the Grand Stade d’Agadir (8:00 p.m.) before facing Congo Brazzaville four days later late at the Martyrs stadium in Kinshasa (5:00 p.m.).

Speaking on the sidelines of the ABSA Cup final at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka, Zambia Football Association president Andrew Kamanga announced that Zambia would be concentrating in Europe, with a view to taking on the Morocco on June 7 in Agadir. This meeting counts for the third day of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

These matches are respectively part of the 3rd and 4th days of Group E qualifying (Africa zone).
