Report: Trade between Morocco and Israel decreased by 60%

HIBAPRESS-RABAT

An Israeli report claims that trade between Morocco and Israel has declined at a “record” rate in the current year 2024, since the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Trade between Morocco and Israel has decreased by 60%, particularly in goods, due to the suspension of flights between the two countries, according to the report.

Israeli economic reports showed that trade hit a record high in 2022 between the two sides, at 128%.

It was noted that since the outbreak of the Gaza war last October, the volume of trade between Morocco and Israel has decreased, which makes the ceiling raised by the Israeli Minister of the Economy, Orba Barbivai, during his visit to Morocco in mid-2022, reaches an annual trade volume of 500 dollars. A million dollars is difficult to achieve under current circumstances.
