Morocco welcomed more than 2.1 million tourists at the end of February 2024

The number of tourists who visited Morocco during the first two months of 2024 amounted to more than 2.1 million people, an increase of 14% compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts, the social and solidarity economy.
“Efforts to promote destinations and improve their accessibility continue to bear fruit. In 2024, Moroccan tourism maintains its path towards achieving the objectives of the roadmap, recording 1.1 million arrivals in February, a significant increase of 18% compared to February 2023. Thus, during the two first months of this year, more than 2.1 million tourists visited Morocco, marking a growth of 14% compared to the same period of 2023,” indicates the ministry in a brief on tourist arrivals.
At the heart of these performances, the ministry notes a more marked contribution from foreign tourists, representing 53% of arrivals, while Moroccans living abroad (MRE) constitute 47%.
According to the same source, this upward trend testifies to the continued attractiveness of Morocco and the relevance of the efforts deployed in promotion and aviation, in accordance with the 2023-2026 tourism roadmap.
