In a concerted effort to propel the Moroccan commerce sector into the digital age, Aleph and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce have formalized a framework partnership agreement. This strategic pact aims to support the digital transformation of merchants, thus strengthening their competitiveness in a global economy.

The trade and distribution sector, a pillar of the national economy, represents 8% of the Gross Domestic Product and employs more than 17% of the kingdom’s workforce. Faced with the challenges posed by digitalization and exacerbated by the COVID-19 health crisis, this partnership marks a crucial step towards the adoption of adapted digital solutions.

Mohamed Megahed, Managing Director at Aleph Group, expresses his enthusiasm: “We are delighted to put our expertise in digital advertising at the service of Moroccan merchants. Our initiative, ‘Digital Ad Expert’, is specifically designed to educate and empower our business partners to make the most of digital technologies, ensuring a smooth transition to more modern and efficient business models. »

The established framework agreement is designed to revolutionize the commerce sector through digitalization. This strategic alliance prioritizes improving access to digital technologies for small and medium-sized merchants, a crucial element to enable them to remain competitive in an increasingly digitalized business environment.

Aleph is committed to enriching merchants with educational resources via the ‘Digital Ad Expert’ platform, providing local support from Google certified experts, and organizing innovative training and workshops to effectively integrate digital advertising into their strategies of marketing. The Ministry, for its part, is making robust commitments by preparing and implementing a joint action plan, mobilizing Chambers of Commerce and other entities to support the digitalization of SMEs, and organizing events to encourage the use of new technologies.

A monitoring committee composed of representatives from both parties will ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of the initiatives, thus guaranteeing the success of this transformative partnership.

This partnership is a turning point for the commerce sector in Morocco, providing a solid framework for innovation and economic development. The stakeholders commit to a fruitful collaboration, aimed at strengthening the trading sector and broadening the horizons of thousands of traders across the country.
