Marrakech: Great success of the national school athletics championships for students with disabilities

The national school athletics championship for students with disabilities, organized by the Ministry of National Education, Primary Education and Sports in collaboration with the Royal Moroccan Federation of School Sports and in coordination with the Academy Regional Education and Training of Marrakech-Safi, from May 17 to 19 under the theme “School sport for efficient and open students”, ended Saturday May 18, 2024, in Marrakech.

More than 400 students, both boys and girls, took part in this national school sports event, taking part in several competitions, including running, high and long jumps, and shot put.

During the second day of this event, participants competed in several finals, including the 800 meters, 1500 meters and 5000 meters, in addition to the shot put and high jump. ….

Those present, very numerous, also attended several races for students with special needs, including shot put and running, which showed a good level and added a special imprint to this national event, which clearly illustrates the success of the Ministry of Education and the Directorate for the Promotion of School Sports in the integration of this event which still takes place under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI.

After the Final Competitions, a special closing ceremony was organized, which was successful thanks to the efforts of the organizing committee members, with artistic presentations taken from the folklore of Ahwach, after which the official delegation presented the medals and trophies to the winning teams of the various races of the national school athletics championship for students with disabilities.

This national event was a success at all levels, which aroused the satisfaction of the participating delegates, who did not fail to thank the organizers for their considerable efforts which created a comfortable atmosphere and adequate conditions which contributed to this success.
