About 100 years old, discovery of 85 human footprints in Morocco.

An international research team from the University of Brittany in France, in partnership with Moroccan, German and Spanish universities, has discovered the oldest human footprints of Homo sapiens in North Africa.

The trace, which dates back around 100,000 years, was discovered on the coast of the town of Larache, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, 90 kilometers south of Tangier.

Research shows that five individuals, including children, adolescents and adults, left between 80 and 85 footprints heading towards the sea in search of food.

Research into this discovery lasted about a year and a half.
