Washington begins production of advanced “F-16 Viper” fighter jets for delivery to Morocco.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency, under the US Department of Defense, announced the official launch of the manufacturing of 25 “F-16 Viper” fighters for the benefit of Morocco, in accordance with an agreement previously signed between the two countries.

The agreement to manufacture these fighters, supervised by the American company “Lockheed Martin Corp”, includes both Morocco and Taiwan.

The American company will manufacture 90 F-16 fighter jets, which will be ready in 2026, of which 66 units will be destined for Taiwan and 24 units will be destined for Morocco.

These aircraft are the most advanced in the “F-16” fighter category and largely resemble the specifications of the “F-35”, especially with regard to equipment and fifth-generation electronic warfare devices.
