USAID Administrator Ms. Samantha Power reiterates the support of the United States for the reforms carried out, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, in terms of governance, education and development

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, received, in Rabat, the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Ms. Samantha Power .
Ms. Power wished to reiterate the support of the United States for the reforms carried out, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, in terms of governance, education and development.
Welcoming the numerous achievements accomplished by Morocco in terms of reforms and development, she also underlined the active role played by the Kingdom at the continental and regional level and the considerable efforts of Morocco to promote the empowerment of young people and the fight against extremism.
She also welcomed the breakthroughs made by the Kingdom in the field of Renewable Energy, as well as Morocco’s impressive achievements in the fight against Climate Change.
On the other hand, Ms. Power did not fail to highly commend the effective management by the Moroccan authorities of the effects of the Al-Haouz earthquake.
