Royal Air Maroc announces the launch of a direct route between Casablanca and Abuja

The airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced, during a ceremony recently organized in Abuja, the launch of the direct line linking Casablanca to the Nigerian capital Abuja, the start of which is scheduled for June 23.

The company specified, during a meeting with representatives of major travel agencies in Nigeria and institutional and commercial partners, that this new line to Abuja will be operated with three weekly flights (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday).

In his speech, His Majesty’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Moha Ouali Tagma, said: “We gather here to celebrate together a great event which will mark an important stage in relations between Morocco and Nigeria and will give them a new momentum. »

Mr. Tagma stressed that “next June 23 will be a great day, because it will represent an important step in the efforts aimed at strengthening the proximity between Morocco and Nigeria, making Abuja a very close city, only a few hours away from Casablanca. »

He added that Nigeria, like Cameroon, will be the second African country to be served by Royal Air Maroc with two cities connected; Lagos with a daily flight and soon Abuja with three weekly flights.

He indicated that Morocco and Nigeria are constantly working, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, and the President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, to build a strategic partnership.

The Moroccan diplomat added that “the gas pipeline project linking Nigeria to Morocco and Europe, fertilizer factories and the Chérifien Des Phosphates Office complex in Akwa Ibom State for the production of fertilizers, illustrate this desire to build this partnership between the two countries. »

For his part, the representative of Royal Air Maroc affirmed that “this new line linking the beating heart of Nigeria, Abuja, to the city of Casablanca, is not only a flight route, but above all an important step in the journey of Royal Air Maroc, thus strengthening its commitment to Africa for better connectivity. »

He added that “for travelers looking for business opportunities, cultural exchanges or tourist experiences, Royal Air Maroc is proud to provide a comfortable and reliable connection to Morocco and beyond. »

He continued by saying “With our extensive network and commitment to excellence, we are confident that the Abuja-Casablanca line will greatly contribute to economic growth, encourage cultural exchanges and strengthen relations between our two countries. »

He concluded by saying “We are poised to become the preferred airline for travelers seeking comfort, convenience and exceptional service,” adding that “from Africa to Europe, from Asia to America, our network spans a wide range of destinations meeting the needs and desires of every traveler. »

The RAM representative also mentioned that “early this year, we announced the launch of our ambitious development plan to grow from a mid-sized airline with fifty aircraft to a global airline, thereby strengthening our leading position in Africa thanks to an extensive global network and a large air fleet of two hundred aircraft. »

He highlighted that “our slogan, DreamAfrica#MeetMorocco#, expresses the pride of an airline proud of its African roots, affirming that Africa still has a lot of potential to unveil and also inviting travelers to enjoy an international experience with a unique Moroccan and African touch. »
