Social protection: Mohammed V University of Rabat signs a partnership agreement in favor of SOS Children’s Villages in Morocco

A partnership agreement in the field of social protection was signed, Thursday, May 30, 2024 in Rabat, between the Mohammed V University of Rabat (UM5) represented by the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences – Soussi (FSJES-Soussi ) and the SOS Children’s Villages Association – Morocco.

This convention, whose signing ceremony was chaired by the interim president of the Mohammed V University of Rabat, Prof. Farid EL BACHA, and initialed by the dean of the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences Souissi, Pr. Azzedine Ghoufrane and the president of the SOS Children’s Villages association – Morocco, Mr. Amine Demnate, aim to set up new training courses at the university in the field of social protection and to promote dedicated humanitarian and associative actions at SOS Children’s Villages Morocco.

This partnership, which is the first of its kind at the national level, aims to offer, through new academic programs, high-quality training opportunities for the staff of the SOS association, which will contribute to improving their skills. and their expertise, also to promote social protection, and to develop, supervise and support humanitarian and associative actions.

UM5-Rabat through FSJES-Soussi is committed to ensuring in particular, support for continuing education through the establishment of a University Diploma (DU) in Social Protection Management and a University Diploma Specialized Higher (DUSS) in Strategic Management and Humanitarian and Philanthropic Leadership, for the benefit of collaborators and beneficiaries of SOS Villages d’Enfants Maroc programs and also to ensure supervision and contribution to the research work of SOS Villages d’Enfants Enfants Maroc, educational support for training and development activities carried out by the association, as well as support for the organization and supervision of seminars, round tables, debates, conferences and others concerning related themes with the statutory areas of action of the Association.

This event was marked by the presence of academic figures, leaders of associations and institutions active in the social and solidarity field at the national and international level, also professors, students, SOS children and others.
