RIYADA Prize in the “Open Data” category: promoting efficiency, transparency and innovation within public administrations. “E-Public Services”, “E-Registers”


On the sidelines of the Gitex Africa Morocco 2024 Exhibition which took place from May 29 to 31, 2024 in the city of Marrakech, the Ministry of Economy and Finance was awarded this Friday, May 31, 2024, by winning the RIYADA prize in the “Open Data” category.

In this regard, it should be noted that the “RIYADA” Prize aims to promote efficiency, transparency and innovation within public administrations and to highlight the best initiatives of administrations in three categories “E- Public Services”, “E-Registers” and “Open Data”.

Thus, the Ministry was awarded an award for its active contribution to the OPEN DATA project since its launch, notably through the enrichment of the National Open Data Portal www.data.gov.ma with a wide range of economic and financial data covering different areas, including macroeconomic, sectoral and social indicators.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy and Finance participated in the GITEX Africa Morocco 2024 Exhibition, ensuring a strong presence and contribution to the e-Gov pavilion. This participation aims to promote its electronic services and to highlight its digital transformation strategy which aims to simplify administrative procedures and strengthen transparency and improve the way the administration operates for the benefit of users and institutional partners.

Thus, the Ministry’s stand, which was hosted by several managers and executives representing the different departments, attracted many categories of national and international visitors, including representatives of delegations from Arab and African countries, participants from the world of business and academics. This strong attendance demonstrates the continued interest in digital initiatives and electronic services offered by the Department.

In addition, the Ministry also took part in the panels and conferences scheduled during this exhibition, in order to share its rich experience and discuss the latest advances in electronic government and digital transformation in the public sector.
