Marrakech: The advantages of the “Go Siyaha” program presented to tourist transport professionals

A communications meeting dedicated to presenting the advantages of the “Go Siyaha” program was organized on Wednesday in Marrakech, for the benefit of tourist transport professionals.

Organized by the National Federation of Tourist Transport (FNTT), in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the Maroc PME Agency, this meeting aims to shed light on the benefits of this program which is part of the implementation of the Tourism Roadmap 2023-2026.

The speakers at this meeting, which included various players in the sector and representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, underlined the importance of this ambitious program for development. of this tourism sector in all its components, and support for major international events that will be organized in the Kingdom, including the African Cup of Nations and the Football World Cup in 2030.

The participants thus expressed their determination to support this program in the aspect linked to tourist transport, and to engage in the development of an appropriate strategy, in accordance with the new orientations of the FNTT, emphasizing the need to support the actions accomplished by the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) for the promotion of tourism in a context marked by the hosting and organization of a series of large-scale international events and demonstrations.

They also emphasized the importance of the integration of digital and new technologies in the tourist transport sector, as well as the renewal of its fleet, as an essential mechanism for improving the quality of the tourist offer and the strengthening of its competitiveness compared to other tourist destinations.

In a statement to MAP, the president of the FNTT, Mohamed Bamansour, highlighted the mobilization of the federation for the implementation of this ambitious program, which will contribute to the digitalization of the sector and the support of professionals in level of training so that they live up to expectations during the sporting and economic events that Morocco will soon host.

“Tourist transport in our country currently only covers 30% of the sector’s needs,” he said, expressing his optimism regarding the achievement of the expected objectives in light of the support and accompaniment of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.

In a similar statement, Mohamed Ali Al Himma, from the Office of Studies, Consulting and Expertise, noted that this meeting aims to explain to tourist operators the different components of the “Go Siyaha” program.

“Our role today is to raise awareness among stakeholders of the importance of this project and to benefit from a series of programs capable of enabling them to strengthen their productivity and keep pace with digital transformation as a company. essential element to face current and future challenges,” he explained.

The “GO SIYAHA” program aims to encourage investments in the tourism sector, by offering attractive subsidies to entrepreneurs. Its objective is to support tourism companies in order to create an innovative and diversified entertainment offer to propel the Morocco destination towards a new era in terms of tourist experiences.

With a budget of 720 million dirhams (MDH), “Go Siyaha” is both an investment support program and technical support for companies wishing to digitalize, improve their income, or even successfully transition. ecological.

Deployed by the Maroc PME Agency, “Go Siyaha” is structured around three support components, namely “investment support”, “technical advice and expertise” and “support for green growth”. .
