This Saturday, the Ibn Yassine room will live to the rhythm of the final of the Throne Cup of Men’s and Women’s Basketball

The Royal Moroccan Basketball Federation is organizing, the day after tomorrow, Saturday June 8, 2024, at the Ibn Yassine Hall in the capital Rabat, the final of the women’s and men’s Throne Cup, for the current 2023~2024 sports season.

The women’s final will bring together the Majd of Tangier and the Kawkab of Marrakech, from 4 p.m.

The men’s final will bring together the MAS and the ASS, starting at 7 p.m.

The MAS and the ASS have a historical charge at the level of the Throne Cup, since AS Salé is the holder of the Throne Cup eleven (11) times, the years: 2004-2006 2008~2009~2010~ 2011~2011~2013~2015~2016~2017, and try to win the twelfth Throne Cup in their history at the expense of MAS, under the leadership of new coach Labib El Hamrani, and return to the podium after seven (7) years of absence.

The city of Rabat and the capital’s Ibn Yassine Hall were chosen to host the final due to the importance of the event and because it is currently in a magnificent new look which will contribute to its success, which has experienced basketball events, which are still tattooed in the memory of fans of the orange ball in Morocco.

The FRMB has taken all organizational and logistical measures to ensure the success of this major national event, and the final should be followed by a large number of supporters of the two competing teams, MAS and ASS.
