Due to their high prices, low attendance in shopping centers for the purchase of sacrificial sheep

Low attendance is observed in the sacrificial sheep exhibition spaces in the large shopping centers of Casablanca, which offer different types of sheep, including imported breeds.

According to observations by Hiba Press, it was noted that few citizens buy sheep in large shopping centers due to the prices displayed on large signs in front of these spaces.

A kilogram of the Sardi breed sells for around 83 dirhams, while the price of foreign breeds varies between 75 and 67 dirhams, and that of other local breeds is between 75 and 78 dirhams per kilogram. These prices are higher than those charged in the markets and the “rahbas” created for the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
