Roland-Garros: Zverev faces Alcaraz in the final

German Alexander Zverev qualified for the Roland-Garros final on Friday at the expense of Norwegian Casper Ruud.

In this remake of the 2023 semi-final, which turned to the advantage of Ruud (7th), Zverev took his revenge in four sets 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, 6-2.

The 4th in the world waited for a first set dominated by the Norwegian before turning the tide thanks to an excellent service, as demonstrated by a third set during which he multiplied the aces (8 out of 19 in total), won 18 of the 20 points played on his first ball (90%) and recorded three shutouts.

Zverev maintained his lead to win in 2h35 and play, at 27, his second Grand Slam final after the US Open in 2020.

Now, he turns to his final on Sunday against the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, winner of the Italian Jannik Sinner, new world No.1.
