The French right nominates Bardella as Prime Minister.

The French National Rally party (far right) today announced the appointment of its president Jordan Bardella as Prime Minister of France.

The party’s vice-president, Sébastien Chenu, said in comments reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP) that Bardella, who led his party’s list in the European parliamentary elections, will be the party’s candidate for the presidency of the next government.

Jordan Bardella heads the far-right National Rally party, which won the European elections with 31.5% of the vote.
