Moroccan Sahara: Madagascar welcomes Morocco’s serious efforts to resolve the conflict

The Republic of Madagascar welcomed the serious and credible efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco to move towards the settlement of the conflict concerning the Moroccan Sahara.

This position was expressed in a joint press release published this Friday, following discussions between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic from Madagascar, Ratsata Rafaravavitavy.

In this regard, the head of Malagasy diplomacy reiterated her support for the efforts made by the United Nations.

Both parties also reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of international law, in particular state sovereignty.
