Spanish defender Sergio Ramos will not play next season at Sevilla FC, the Sevillian club announced on Monday.

“Sergio Ramos has informed Sevilla FC that he will not stay at the club next season, having fulfilled his dream of returning to the club where he developed as a player and where he achieved international status” , indicated the Andalusian team in a press release.

Sergio Ramos, former Real Madrid and PSG player, played 37 matches during the 23/24 season, for a total of 3,301 minutes and 7 goals, said the same source.

“Sevilla FC would like to thank Sergio Ramos for his commitment, leadership and dedication he has shown this season, wishing him the best of luck in his next professional challenge,” the statement concluded.

The former captain of the Spanish selection will bid farewell to his supporters late Tuesday morning.

Ramos is considered one of the greatest defenders in the history of Spanish football, with a remarkable track record.

He has won a total of 28 titles including a World Cup, 2 European Championships, 4 Champions Leagues, 5 La Liga and 2 Ligue 1.
