The security services in Guelmim referred four people to the local prison of Bouizakarn, following the protests of the "Generation Z" movement, after their arrest on Tuesday, and their prosecution in a state of detention due to their involvement in acts of vandalism.
These measures came after some of the protests deviated from their peaceful path, and material losses were recorded in public and private property, while investigations are still ongoing to determine responsibilities and follow up on the rest of the detainees after the end of the period of custody. The authorities confirmed that the investigations will make it possible to take the necessary legal measures against anyone proven to be involved in these events, while ensuring a distinction between peaceful protest and acts of vandalism.
