Dr. Mohamed Jamal Maatouk called on the members of the government on Friday evening to stop making media statements at this critical stage, considering that their interventions only serve to exacerbate the situation and provoke citizens.
He stressed that the current time requires field work and finding practical solutions instead of speeches that have deepened crises in the past years. He added that the current stage is not an electoral campaign, but a delicate political moment that calls for responsibility and calm, calling for efforts to be directed towards restoring confidence and addressing the social and economic problems experienced by citizens. He also stressed the need to maintain the peaceful nature of the protests, protect public and private property, and preserve the prestige of the state in front of its opponents and competitors abroad, stressing that the strength of Morocco lies in its internal cohesion and national unity.
