HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Former Minister of Justice Mustapha Ramid expressed his praise for a document of demands attributed to the youth of the "Generation Z" movement, describing it as a "very important document" that carries demands of political, social, and economic dimensions, and indicates a refined level of awareness and reform.
Ramid said in a post published on his Facebook account: "The first thing that draws attention in this document, despite the lack of a date, is the nature of its detailed demands, and the high language in which it was formulated, which warrants raising the hat to this level of moral and political awareness." He added that the youth movement faced attempts at disruption and containment from some parties at its beginning, but it managed to maintain its independence and direction thanks to what he described as the "wisdom and insightful awareness" of its members. Ramid affirmed that the document is based on solid references such as the Moroccan constitution and official national reports, which makes disagreement with it "completely difficult, even if partially possible," expressing his respect and appreciation for the demands it contained, describing them as "reasonable and objective." Referring to the movement's decision not to demonstrate on the opening day of the legislative year, Ramid considered this decision "courageous and wise," and reflects the youth's awareness of the importance of respecting institutions, foremost of which is the Parliament and the speech of His Majesty the King. He concluded his post by emphasizing that this document expresses a maturity that does not only concern the youth of "Generation Z," but reflects the maturity of the Moroccan people as a whole, expressing his confidence that the state will deal with this initiative with the necessary wisdom and foresight, in a way that achieves hopes within the framework of what is possible and available.
