HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
The General Directorate of National Security, during this week, has issued a series of disciplinary sanctions against a number of security officials working in the city of Inezgane, within the framework of its efforts to moralize the security facility and strengthen the principles of governance and discipline within the apparatus.
These disciplinary measures included three officials. The penalties varied between dismissal from duties, reprimand, and referral to the Agadir security directorate without duties, pending the outcome of the ongoing administrative investigations.
The exact reasons behind these penalties have not yet been revealed, amid questions about whether they resulted from professional violations or imbalances in security management.
It is worth noting that the Inezgane security zone has witnessed several similar decisions in recent years that affected security officials, some of whom were judicially prosecuted and ended up in prison before being acquitted, while others were subject to administrative penalties that reached the point of final dismissal from duties or referral to unspecified duties within the security services.
This step comes within the context of the strategy pursued by the General Directorate of National Security to ensure professional discipline and link responsibility to accountability within its various departments.
