Marrakech – Mohamed Daher
The provincial authorities in the city of Marrakech decided on Tuesday evening to suspend the activities of four fast-food restaurants on Moulay Rachid Street in Gueliz district, as a result of their failure to respect working hours and continuing to operate until the early hours of the morning.
The head of the administrative annex of Gueliz, supported by elements of the auxiliary forces and authority agents, also informed the restaurant owners on Tuesday evening of the governor's decision issued by the Wilaya of the Marrakech-Safi region, which stipulated the suspension of activity for a specified period. The residents of the area had previously corresponded with the competent authorities, revealing through them the disregard of some fast-food outlets for the provincial decisions, which exacerbates their daily suffering, especially the elderly and children who are psychologically and health-wise affected by the constant noise until dawn.
