The Marrakech and Ouarzazate Bar Associations have applauded Resolution 2797 issued by the UN Security Council on Friday, October 31, 2025, considering it the culmination of a national struggle that has spanned more than five decades, in which various segments of the Moroccan people have contributed, foremost among them the legal family, in defense of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom under the high leadership of the late King Hassan II and His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The Association affirmed, in a statement received by the media, that the UN resolution constitutes recognition of the credibility of the Moroccan autonomy proposal and a correction of the course of addressing the national issue at the international level, noting that the Royal speech that followed the issuance of the resolution set the reference framework for the next phase, which requires comprehensive mobilization of all national forces, each from their position. The Association reiterated its continued involvement in defending national constants inside and outside Morocco, and its readiness to continue its professional and legal presence in various regional and international forums in support of the historical justice of the Moroccan Sahara issue.
