The life of the residents of Tangier Street in the city of Nador has turned into a daily hell due to the actions of a mentally ill person addicted to drugs, who has become a direct threat to citizens. This person, who suffers from a difficult psychological condition, breaks citizens' property, throws stones and glass at passersby, in addition to repeatedly insulting and cursing them, and performing provocative actions in the streets.
According to the testimonies of citizens, this mentally ill person deliberately causes chaos within the neighborhoods on a daily basis, where he attacks homes and blocks the way of students, in addition to causing damage to cars parked in the neighborhood. His actions were not limited to that, but went beyond that to threatening to kill and burn anyone who passes by him, which prompted the residents to live in a state of constant fear. In light of this painful reality, the residents began to direct complaints to the responsible authorities in the hope of putting an end to this security deterioration, but they did not receive any response or actual intervention from the local authorities. Although these actions are repeated on a daily basis, the person concerned has not been subjected to any questioning or referral to a psychiatric hospital as the case requires. Until the moment of writing these lines, no action has been taken by the competent authorities, which has made the residents live a state of continuous psychological suffering in anticipation of the concerned parties taking action before things worsen and the worst happens.
