HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Elbaz
The Libyan Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huweij, held a meeting with the Moroccan Consul General in Tripoli, Bouzekri Rihani, to discuss ways to develop trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The meeting reviewed existing trade agreements and the possibility of updating them to activate cooperation between the public and private sectors, in addition to supporting the facilitation of business people's movement, and studying the launch of a commercial sea line and a direct air link between Tripoli and Rabat.
The preparations for an upcoming visit by Al-Huweij to Morocco were also discussed to participate in the second business forum on the African Continental Free Trade Area scheduled for December, where he will hold meetings with economic institutions to enhance the bilateral partnership.
The two sides stressed the importance of empowering the private sector as a fundamental tributary to economic development between Libya and Morocco.
