HIBAPRESS
The General Directorate of National Security issued a decision last Friday, November 7th, to provisionally suspend a police inspector working at the Regional Police Commissariat in the city of Oulad Teima, pending the completion of the judicial procedure against him due to suspicion of involvement in extortion and soliciting a sum of money as a bribe.
In parallel with these disciplinary measures imposed by the basic regulations for employees of the General Directorate of National Security, the Provincial Judicial Police Service in Agadir has opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, regarding the criminal acts attributed to the aforementioned police officer, after he was caught in the act of receiving a sum of money as a bribe from one of the parties to a penal case. The suspected employee has been placed under custody pending the investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor's office, to clarify all the circumstances surrounding this case, while the investigation procedures are still ongoing in order to verify the suspicion of the contribution or participation of another police officer in committing these criminal acts.
